AI Automation for Kenyan Businesses: What an AI Company Actually Builds for You
Kenya's AI companies range from research labs to agencies that automate small businesses. Here's what practical AI automation looks like for an SME: the jobs it takes over, what it costs, and how to start without wasting money.
When people search for AI companies in Kenya, they find two very different worlds: research and big-enterprise AI on one side, and agencies that use AI to automate everyday business work on the other. For a small or growing business, the second is where the return is.
What AI automation does for an SME
- Answers WhatsApp and website enquiries instantly, using your real prices and policies
- Books appointments and sends reminders, which cuts no-shows
- Follows up quotes and leads on day 3, 7 and 14 automatically
- Drafts quotes, proposals and reports from your own data
- Confirms M-Pesa payments and sends receipts
- Summarises the day: who paid, who owes, what's overdue
AI agents: useful, with guardrails
AI agents can carry out multi-step tasks, like reading an enquiry, checking stock, quoting and booking. They work best when they reason over your own data and hand over to a person for anything unusual. We build every assistant to answer from your information, never from guesses, and to escalate to you when it isn't sure.
What it costs
Most automations are a one-off setup plus a small monthly fee for hosting and messaging. Our WhatsApp bots start from KSh 35,000, lead follow-up flows from KSh 40,000, and booking and reminder automation from KSh 45,000.
How to start
- Pick the one task that eats the most hours each week
- Write down exactly how a good employee handles it
- Automate that one flow, measure the time saved, then do the next
